Quadrille and SKYflow Partners Bridge Digital Divide in Peru, Launching New Service to Reach Unconnected Population
Quadrille, a leading provider of broadcast content delivery, today announced, in collaboration with the SKYflow consortium, a partner ecosystem focused on bridging the digital divide, to bring essential information and entertainment to the unconnected population of Peru.
Reaching Millions Without Internet
The National Institute of Radio and Television of Peru (IRTP) selected SKYflow’s innovative technology to reach the remaining 30% of Peruvian citizens who lack access to traditional internet or public broadcasting services. SKYflow leverages the DVB-NIP (Native IP) standard, eliminating the need for internet connectivity to deliver content.
“We are very proud of the work done on this project by the Skyflow team,” said Xavier Battas, Managing Director of Quadrille. “Providing access to cost-effective, ultra-fast, low-latency delivery of DTH live and file-based video content to homes and mobile devices is a game changer for those who lack access.”
SKYflow Ecosystem Paves the Way for Converged Media
Developed collaboratively by industry leaders including ST Engineering iDirect, EKT, EasyBroadcast, EZDRM, and Quadrille, SKYflow offers a complete solution for delivering content via satellite multicast ABR (Adaptive Bit Rate). This technology supports live TV, on-demand video, and even non-video content like PDFs and educational materials.
The IRTP adoption of SKYflow demonstrates the immense potential of this ecosystem to bridge the digital divide and empower communities around the world.
